Sullivan Whitetail Ranch can help you ‘fast track’ your whitetail herd.
We take great pride in breeding and raising the highest quality cervid in the whitetail industry. Brad Sullivan and Jeff Dean of Sullivan Whitetail Ranch can raise your herd for you until you are ready to move to your own land or facilities. Imagine moving an already well-developed herd to your own ranch? We offer the best solution to start raising whitetail with proven genetics today. We will raise your whitetail before you purchase or high fence a ranch, so you don’t miss out on a crop of fawns.
Sullivan Whitetail Ranch’s FastTrack Program is customized to each client’s specific wants and needs. We offer both short term and long term options. We can raise your whitetail, that you purchase from Sullivan Whitetail Ranch, until you are ready to move to your own facilities or we can raise your herd year round and you can avoid operating expenses of pens on your property. We do not bring in any outside deer for our FastTrack Program, we only house deer that are purchased from us.
Facilities
Sullivan Whitetail Ranch is made up of 500 acres and is located in Sunset, Texas, just 60 miles northwest of the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex and DFW International Airport. We currently have 41 pens and 6,000 sq ft of air conditioned, state of the art facilities to easily work and handle our deer when needed. We maintain the best facilities to assist in our breeding program to reduce the overall stress of our whitetail deer. This approach guarantees a healthy whitetail that can maximize its full potential.
Sullivan Whitetail Ranch is a TC1 (Transfer Category 1) deer breeding operation with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) and we maintain a “Certified Herd” status with Texas Animal Health Commission (TAHC). This status is the highest rating for a Texas deer breeder, and it means that our animals can be moved anywhere in the state of Texas with the least restrictions. We provide all required testing at our facilities before deer are moved and we go to great lengths to make sure no detail is overlooked to care for our herd.
Pricing & Details
Housing, health and feed expenses for the Sullivan Whitetail Ranch FastTrack Program are charged on a monthly basis. Our fee includes housing and all aspects needed to keep your deer healthy. Your animals will receive the same treatment that all of ours receive from worming to vaccinations to treats. Cost per animal per month is $100. This does not include the CWD required testing in order to move animals which is approximately $100 per animal.
Breeding
First year live breeding is included in cost of doe purchased.
Second year live breeding will range from $500 to $2,000 depending on buck.
AI cost is $350 per animal plus cost of semen. If our semen is purchased, cover buck is free. If outside semen is used, refer to the live breeding price range depending on buck for the cover buck.
Sullivan Whitetail Ranch does not guarantee conception or live fawns, but we provide the same treatment as if your animals are our own.
Fawns
At Sullivan Whitetail Ranch we tag, pull hair for DNA, and administer various meds that boost overall health in fawns. Due to five numbers being required when tattooing, we now tattoo at weaning. There are no additional costs for fawns until they are weaned. The cost is then $100 per month per animal. At weaning all fawns at Sullivan Whitetail Ranch are given meds and boosters to help with their survival rate. There is no additional cost for these meds and boosters. There is no charge for delivery of animals within 300 miles.
Sullivan Whitetail Ranch cannot guarantee survival of any of these animals but will assure you that they will be treated as if they are our animals. We do not separate animals in the FastTrack Program intotheir own pen so you can be confident that they receive the same care and meds of other animals that are grouped with them. We do not separate deer in the FastTrack Program into their own pen as this provides some safety in case one entire pen is hit with some disease or illness that spreads throughout the pen. In the case of death, all costs will be prorated.
